IDEA Board: Our Voices, Our Community - Drop in or Register

Adults and teens - recognize Banned Books Week 2026 with the Lafayette IDEA Board (formerly the Human Rights Board). Using selected clips from the award-winning documentary "The Librarians," which follows librarians responding to efforts to remove books from schools and libraries, we will engage in a series of structured reflections and conversations. Together, we’ll use these stories to reflect on our own community and the kind of future we want to continue building together for Lafayette.

Spanish language translation will be available at the event. Enjoy light refreshments, browse resource tables hosted by local organizations, City staff, the IDEA Board, and other City boards and commissions.

Registration is optional but preferred. Scroll down and use the Begin Registration button.
