Join the Buzz at Sheepdrove Organic Farm for a free family-friendly event hosted by the **Bumblebee Conservation Trust. **

Support the Bees 🐝

Our natural environment is in crisis - and so are our bumblebees. We’ve already lost two species to extinction and many more are in serious decline. Bees are a keystone species, as small insects they play a disproportionately large role in the health and function of global ecosystems. They significantly influence the survival and reproduction of countless plant species, facilitating processes fundamental to maintaining ecological balance, supporting diverse life forms and underpinning the natural cycles our world depends on.

Join this interactive event at Sheepdrove Organic Farm for one of our Bee Safaris run by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and immerse yourself in the world of bees. The day begins with an expert-led indoor talk to introduce the three groups of bees, the bumblebees that call the UK home, bumblebee lifecycles, bumblebee decline, their importance and how we can all help them. Then we head outside (weather dependent) onto a guided walk around the fields, gardens and meadows of Sheepdrove, to see what bumblebees, and other wildlife we can discover!

Future Bee Safaris 🐝🐝

We are running collaborative events with The Bumblebee Conservation Trust, including training events and guided transect walks for BeeWalker's each year. Get in contact to sign up for the ‘Bee Newsletter’ and events will be shared on our socials.

🐝 Bee Safari Programme:

Max 1 hour talk (including time for Q&A), 1.5 hours outdoor walk

• 10:00 - 11:00 introduction to bumblebees talk with time for questions (children's activities on side tables included)
• 11:00 - 12:30 noon outdoor discovery walk
• 12:30 Bee Safari event ends. You're welcome to stay around and explore bees in the Physic Garden.

**🐝 BeeWalkers Programme **

For those who are trained BeeWalkers (and friends/family of BeeWalkers) we will be carrying out the June BeeWalks after the Bee Safari event. If also attending the Bee Safari ensure you bring a pack lunch with you, and water bottles.

• 12:30 noon - 13:30pm break (bring pack lunch)
• 13:30pm - 15:30pm BeeWalk - Transect Lake
• 15:30pm - 16:30pm BeeWalk - Transect 100 Acres

Three Ticket Types: 1-3years, 4-11years, general ticket.

There are 20-25 places available.
