As psychedelics enter the mainstream, what have we learnt and what questions remain unanswered?

Live Discussion with Robin Carhart-Harris and Social Evening

“Good science shouldn't pretend to be the final word. It often serves to invite deeper investigation.”

As the psychedelic science matures and potential legalisation on the horizon. What have we genuinely learned over the past decades? How do psychedelics create lasting change? What more can they offer to humanity? What still remains uncertain? And how do we move forward without losing the scientific rigour, humility and curiosity that brought the field this far?

Join us for a fireside chat with Robin Carhart-Harris exploring the next chapter of psychedelics, while reflecting on his work that shaped our understanding of psychedelics including his REBUS model. His forthcoming book, How Psychedelics Work: The Hidden Mind and Our Power to Heal, sets out this thinking in full: mental illness reframed as a state of excessive rigidity, where fixed beliefs and habitual narratives resist change, and psychedelics as a way of loosening those patterns to open space for new perspective and healing. Our conversation will also explore the challenges ahead: balancing therapeutic promise with potential pitfalls, understanding the importance of context and integration, and asking what responsible progress should look like as psychedelics move further into mainstream medicine.

How Psychedelics Work will be published 2027. It is now available for pre-orderand has already become a bestseller on Amazon in Medical Experimental Psychology.

You can follow Robin's latest reflections and book updates via his newsletter at www.carhartharrislab.com.
